Web by WMC Corp Marty Bound (Trumpet, Flugelhorn) Marty is a veteran of the recording studios both in New York and Chicago.  Currently, in addition to being a teacher, Marty is performing as a 1st call utility sub on Broadway, playing with his own trio in New York City’s competitive jazz scene, and freelancing.  He has appeared regularly with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Charlie Parsip, Joe Williams, Roberta Flack, and many other internationally known jazz artists.  Marty has also filled the jazz chair on the Dick Meldonian Orchestra, and the Somers Dream Orchestra, as well as a host of other local favorites. .   Vinnie Cutro (Trumpet, Flugelhorn) Both a dedicated educator and musician, Vinnie has performed with noted jazz greats such as Horace Silver, and Buddy Rich.  He has traveled extensively throughout the world appearing at jazz festivals and concerts in Europe, Japan, Africa, Canada, South America and the U.S.A.  As a member of the Lionel Hampton Quintet, he made guest appearances with many top U.S. orchestras.  He has worked with artists such as: Aretha Franklin, The Nelson Riddle Orchestra, Mike Stern, Billy Hart, Jerry Bergonzi, Bob Mintzer, Ray Charles, Blood Sweat And Tears, Jim McNeely, Mike Richmond, Jay Anderson, the Arturo O'Farrel Orchestra, the Mel Lewis Orchestra, Jimmy McGriff, the Machito Orchestra, Xavier Cugat, Mel Torme, Bernard Perde, Barry Manilow, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Al Kooper, Donald Fagen, and The Spirit Of Life Ensemble. .   Philip Jones (Trombone) After 20 years as a staff trombonist for RCA records in Nashville, Philip moved to the New York City area and has been one of the busiest trombonists around.  Over the years he has performed with artists including: Danny Davis and the Nashville Brass, Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, the Mills Brothers, Kaye Starr, the Bob Crosby Big Band and Bobcats Dixieland unit, Patti Austin, Marlene Ver Plaank, George Coleman, Claudio Roditi, Carl Fontana, Urbie Green, and many others both in the U.S and Europe.  Philip is an endorsed artist and clinician with the Conn-Selmer Musical Instrument Company, and can be heard on hundreds of albums, sound tracks, and commercials.   Leeann Newland (French Horn) Leeann has been an active chamber musician, recitalist and instructor in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area for over 25 years.  Ms. Newland received a Bachelor of Music from the Manhattan School of Music, and a Master of Music from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, both in french horn performance.  She has played in numerous Broadway shows, Papermill Playhouse Musicals, the American Ballet Theater Orchestra, the Queens Symphony, the Westchester Philharmonic, and the Delaware Symphony (Wilmington DE), where she served as 3rd Horn and Librarian for 6 seasons. She is a regular performer with the Gramercy Brass Orchestra, and founder of the Teaneck Brass Band, an ensemble of fourth to sixth grade brass players spanning the Teaneck, NJ public school system.   Steve Carr (Tuba) In addition to tuba, Steve Carr plays both bass and tenor trombone throughout the NYC area.  He performs in a wide variety of genres, from jazz to classical and most things between.  In the jazz world Steve has played with Rob McConnell, John Faddis, Byron Stripling,  Dave Valentin, and Dave Samuels, to name a few.  Locally Steve has appeared with The Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey, the Somers Dream Orchestra, and The Goldman Band, as well as many freelance performances with groups of all types across the entire Tri-State area.
